Small town heros bringing the Easter spirit to the masses

Someone thinks the boys are as adorable and precious as we do. This is the boys Easter picture from last year. We have no idea how the local paper got the picture or that they were planning to put it on the front page. A co-worker of mine emailed me two days ago asking me if they were on the cover of the paper and to my surprise they were. The boys really seemed to get a kick out of their picture on a paper. We sorta did too.

Coloring Eggs

Yesterday the boys colored some eggs for Easter. They were pretty hands on, more like hands in. Their hands were almost black by the end of it, the little metal egg dipper is just a bit too cumbersome for them at this point. They threw caution to the wind and just submerged their whole hand while dipping eggs. At that point we decided to NOT break out the sparkles. Maybe next year.

Jake has been enjoying the hard boiled eggs. Gotta love that the little guy will try and eat just about anything. Anderson on the other hand won't even consider just a small taste. It seems like his tastes are becoming more and more restricted these days. He does love black jelly beans, which is a mystery to me. It seems like someone who won't even eat cheese pizza wouldn't like the distinct taste of black jellybeans.

We are hosting an Easter brunch with my family and will join Kevin's family for dinner at his Moms. Tomorrow the boys are excitedly anticipating an Easter egg hunt at church. Can't believe this is their 5th Easter!

A Decade of Marriage

Some things you should know about my husband.....

He never has a bad day. I'm talking never.

He has an extremely high IQ yet he still forgets his wallet, phone, or work badge at home at least once a week.

He refuses to worry about anything. He is constantly telling me that worrying won't help or change any negative situation.

There isn't a day that goes by that he doesn't tell me how much he loves me. He spoils me with hugs and kisses daily.

He let's me pick where we eat 99% of the time.

I can't decide if he's a better father or husband...he seems to have perfected both.

He is the most moral and kind person I know. He is also an atheist.

He forgives and forgets.

I love him.

Happy 10 years Kevin!
